History
- The chateau was built near the intersection of the main road from Namur to Luxembourg and the road from Dinant to Liège. It replaced a medieval castle, with remains found in the north-east corner. The seat of the lordship of Fontaine, encompassing Anthée, Morville, and Miavoye, spanning the counties of Namur and Agimont in the Prince-Bishopric of Liège.
- The two-story structure was likely constructed in stages during the 16th century. Subsequent buildings were erected in the 16th and 17th centuries.
Architecture
The chateau is built of limestone and features an U-shaped design, open to the south, with towers on each corner. A farm to the east shares the same plan, with its open side facing the chateau.

The chateau underwent a renovation between 1907 and 1909, adopting a neo-traditional style. This work resulted in a uniform appearance, with the towers raised and new windows and decorations added.
