History

Built for Baron Gustave Arlot de Saint-Saud, the baron of the land, the Château de la Valouze was constructed. The castle formerly belonged to the family of art gallery owners of Paul Durand-Ruel.

Architecture

The eastern facade features a central body housing the front door as well as two lateral semicircular bay. The overall style is neoclassical, with the third level built into the attic. The exterior decoration is sober but the details are elegant. The castle's noble craftsmanship is notable.
